Camp Tikkanen

What is Camp Tikkanen?

Camp Tikkanen is the product of the Tikkanen kids’ imagination and faith in their mom’s ability to execute on their vision. (It’s also a convenient solution for three random days with no other childcare, and - of course - a place to make memories that will last a lifetime.)

Activities at Camp Tikkanen are loosely structured to allow feral children to choose. Activities each day may include arts & crafts, baking, water play, dance, sports, games, challenges, free play — and more! (If things get too wild, we will put on a movie and popcorn.)

Featured Camp Activities

Campers will assist the camp director with allergy-friendly food preparation. This might include cookies, cupcakes, and/or s’mores.

Arts & Crafts

Campers will be provided with an arts and crafts station, open all day, which will include lanyards, coloring pages, and other crafts. Campers will also create a tie-dye creation to bring home!

Water Play

Campers are free to bring swimsuits or clothes that can get wet. We’ll have water-based toys available like squirt guns, water balloons, and a water table. Campers may bring other toys from home!

Meet Our Team

The core staff of Camp Tikkanen has a combined 20+ years of experience in childcare (and far more experience attending camps!). Additional support staff will be present for several activities through our junior counselor program.
